New Hujoo– Jake
As you know, I’m a huge Hujoo fan. I own a Hujoo Wings and a Hujoo Baby. Announced recently on ‘The Junky Spot’, a new Hujoo is coming to town and this time it’s (at the moment) a US exclusive release!
Look at the promo shot released over at ‘The Junky Spot’ of the new Hujoo Jake!
Jake is 24 cm and made of ABS plastic. The main difference between Jake and the Wings/Hujoo line is his more proportional head mold. Jake, for example, fits a 6-7 wig while the original less proportional models (Wings/Hujoo) usually wear 7-8. Jake will use 12mm eyes, as opposed to Hujoo’s usual 20mm. Jake has a boy body, but looks like he could easily become a flat chested girl. The official Junky Spot video reviewer did a nice comparison video. You can watch that video HERE.
My thoughts? Well, I’m happy that Hujoo is still working on innovative, new dolls. Cora, their new heavily jointed resin MSD girl, looks fantastic. In terms of Jake, I like him, but he looks a bit too ‘normal’ to me. I love the disproportioned bodies and the alien sort of look Hujoo’s tend to have. I’ll probably be holding off on Jake until after I get a basic Hujoo (photo to the right). But who knows? Eventually, maybe I’ll splurge (which seeing he’s less than $40 wouldn’t exactly break the bank) and pick up this little guy!

Luts Aru- Arrival Pictures!
Back in 2008, I opened up a thread on Den of Angels, a BJD board populated by quite a large number of collectors, looking for places to find Luts dolls in the US or Canada. I mention in the post that I have my eye on a Kid Delf. Well, it’s finally come full circle. I have no idea what Kid Delf I was thinking off back in 2008, but I am now the proud owner of a Kid Delf Aru.
My Luts Aru came via a group order over at Den of Angels. Aru arrived exactly as expected and is playing nice with her fellow BJD’s! Want to see some pictures? Oh, I know you do!!! Enjoy the pic-spam!

Oh, a Luts Box! She’s really here! Honestly, I was clutching the box like it was going to fly away or something during the drive home after dolly delivery!
Beware slight nakedness! Along with Aru, I ordered her an outfit, shoes, and two wigs (one mohair, one regular).
And look, double jointed elbows! I don’t have any dolls with double jointed elbows. I love how much easier it is to pose her arm!

Her outfit! One thing I wanted to do was get her clothes, as that seems to always be a thorn in my side!!!
Wig number one! Very cute yellow. Not blonde, but not sunshine! Perfect.
Wig number 2! Love the short mohair. Too bad mohair only stays pretty for a year or so. Still, love this wig!
And finally, the total look! Ordering a doll with all the elements coming at one time is definitely something I need to do more often!!!! And Luts… They know how to make a fantastic doll. Totally worth the money I paid for her!!!!

Splurge Alert!!— Luts Kid Delf Aru and accessories
Remember the post I did a few weeks back about wanting to buy a new BJD for my collection? Well, I’ve done it! Sort of. I won’t see the doll for probably two months, but I have placed an order!!! I was all set on picking up a Leeke World Geeyu, but in the end, had to put that on hold due to her cost. She would have run close to 650.00 for her to be complete with a wig, outfit, shoes… I just can’t spend that at the moment.
So, I went back and looked on the Den of Angels and saw something I was looking for– a Luts group order! I really like the Luts dolls I’ve seen in person, but have always held off ordering one because they don’t have any US distributors and shipping from Luts to the States… *yikes* With this group order, I’ll still pay a bit in shipping, but hopefully it saves me a few bucks!!!

Ball Jointed Dolls: A Wishlist
Ball jointed dolls have been around forever. This post is about asian ball jointed dolls. Typically, these dolls are made in resin, have inter-changable eyes and wigs, and can be found in really tiny sizes to super enormous sizes!
I bought my first BJD in August of 2008. It was a Bobobie March. Standing at 27 cm, she’s tiny enough to fit in my room and wear easy to find Barbie clothes!
In October of 2008, I received a $25 ebay giftcard from co-workers and decided to put it toward a Doll In Mind Fantasia. Fantasia is 43 cm tall and has the most fantastic ears.
2009 and 2010 were pretty dry years for me when it comes to resin ball jointed dolls. This year, I plan on changing that…

Doll In Mind- Flowne
This is the sister doll to my DIM Fantasia. I love the wide eye’d expression on the doll. She’s just so cute! One day, I definitely want to to add this to my collection.
Doll In Mind- Arno
I’ve never seen this doll in person, but I always stop on it when searching the DIM website. This guy is super tall– 61 cm! The brown wig in the promo shots is adorable on him.
Leeke World- GeeYu
I’ve just stumbled upon this doll but love the innocent expression on this girl. Plus, she’s SD size. The only problem with this doll is that she doesn’t come in a full set… (I love spending the extra money to get a complete set- doll with outfit, eyes, wigs, etc all in one!) Leeke World has fantastic wigs, btw. Highly recommended!
Leeke World- Luke
Luke has a great sculpt. It’s reminiscent of a manga or anime character. I’d probably dress him up to look a little more boy-ish, but overall, I love the face!
Pipos- Mac
How cute is this little dog! He’s pocket sized and adorable. I really do want a Mac eventually. The only downside is I find it hard to spend so much on something so tiny. :-( I need a boyfriend to buy him for me. :-)
Iplehouse- Tania (Special UV/Circus Trapeze)
I’d never heard of Iplehouse before stumbling upon it last year on Den of Angels. I really like their dolls, though I’ve never seen one in person. The Tania sculpt is just really sweet looking with the big eyes and the face ups on the promo shots are just really really nice.
Dollzone- Annie, Yan, and Morphea
Dollzone has some nice prices and some really neat looking dolls. I love the colors on these guys. I just wish Annie in blue was wearing an outfit that wasn’t so revealing!!!
And no wishlist would be complete without a doll from Volks or Luts! I’m just not sure which dolls I want from there yet!!!
Petworks Usaggie
Oh no…. It’s happened again! I’ve found another doll I have decided needs to be in my collection based on the sheer cuteness of it– Petworks Usaggie.
Petworks, makers of Momoko’s, have another hit on their hands with this little bunny, Usaggie. Usaggie stand at 8 inches tall and is made of “non PVC”. I’m assuming that’s engrish for some fancy plastic. This cute little bunny comes naked, but has a whole line of outfits, as shown in the picture below. (Where they sell said outfits, haven’t been able to find that out, but I figure get the doll first, then worry about clothes!)
So far, I’ve only seen these guys on websites coming out of Japan and ebay sellers from Hong Kong. Anyone have any leads on stores in the States that might have these pretty little bunnies? Do you own one? How do you like it? Were you able to find outfits that fit it? Let me know!
Another New Hujoo!
Again, Hujoo has updated their website with a new doll and being the fan of these dolls I am, I feel it’s my duty to show her off to you!
Dressed in an adorable cat eared hoodie, black t-shirt, black shorts, and lace up boots, the Kitty Girl is adorable. She is not limited and looks to be a great gift for those looking for an inexpensive ball jointed doll.

This ‘Punk Boy’ comes outfitted with a wine colored wig, random eyes, Black t-shirt, black shorts, and really cool shoes. I really like this doll, though I find it hard to imagine it as a ‘him’ with the wig!

This adorable doll comes in a western style white blouse, white flowery skirt, and shoes. She will come with a long or short light brown wig. Eyes and wigs are chosen at random.
I love the face on this girl. She really looks nothing like the original Hujoo. Such pretty painted lips and eyes!

Hujoo Berry School Girl- Not Limited ($120.00)
This cutie is an apricot skinned girl dressed in her school day best. She will come with one of two ‘milk pink’ wigs. Her eyes are chosen at random.
There is no mention of any limits on complete sets, so I don’t think you have to worry about her selliing out as quickly as the others.

Overall, my favorite is the Hujoo Harvest Girl. I love her skintone and think outfit and wig choice are perfect. I’d like to see Hujoo come out with more of the Hujoo Babies– they are adorable.
