SDCC 2012- Mattel Announces Exclusives

San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), the most happenin’ place on earth after Disneyworld, is quickly approaching.  The convention is held annually in San Diego, CA.  It boasts huge attendance numbers and is known for having some awesome con exclusives, most of which go for mighty high prices online!

Mattel has recently released a list of their exclusive wares that will be sold at SDCC 2012.  Here’s the lowdown!

  • Masters of the Universe® Vykron™
  • DCU Tiny Titans
  • DC Comics Vertigo™ Death
  • Ghostbusters™ Dana as Zuul
  • Disney • Pixar Cars 2012 Comic-Con Mater
  • Polly Pocket® DC Comics Villains Set
  • Hot Wheels® Masters of the Universe® Volkswagen Drag Bus
  • Hot Wheels® Scooby-Doo!™ The Mystery Machine
  • Hot Wheels® K.I.T.T. Knight Industries Two Thousand

And the item I’m looking most forward to?

  • a ‘yet to be announced’ Monster High exclusive

Who will this Monster High character be?  It’s really anyone’s guess at the moment.  Mattel hasn’t given any hints as to who or what this exclusive might be.  I’m surprised it hasn’t leaked, actually, given the fact that Mattel has already leaked the Christmas 2012 store exclusive dolls.

Now, call me crazy, but I’m surprised that Mattel hasn’t released an honest to goodness ‘Barbie’ exclusive at SDCC yet.  I mean, wouldn’t it be great to get a Barbie in full con gear (ie: comfortable, causal outfit, con badge, cool WB bag)?  I’d buy her.  They could even put together a set with Barbie, Ken, and Skipper all dressed up in various cosplays.  I think something like that would rock.

More SDCC updates as they appear.  Until then, why not leave a comment below?  Who do you think this years Monster High exclusive will be?  What exclusives do you wish Mattel would release?  Share your thoughts!

I’m hoping that the surprise SDCC exlcusive Monster High doll will be none other than Invisi-Billy.

Invisi-Billy would be nice, but Mattel has pretty much spoiled the surprise. The second doll is none other than HooDude.
