Dolly Review: Muddy Puddles Lottie

Meet Muddy Puddles Lottie.  Muddy Puddles Lottie is a cutie! Like other Lottie’s, she stands at 7.5″ tall. She has rooted straight blonde hair that is easy to comb and style.

Lottie’s eyes are large and blue with cute painted on lashes.  Lottie’s are meant to be good-natured and innocent, so they don’t wear any make up.  Her lips are accented with a light ballet pink

The Lottie body has some jointing, but could have more.  Lottie’s head will turn left and right, but won’t tilt.  I would love if Arklu were to give Lottie a head that would tilt up and down.  It would help those of us who photograph our dolls get more angles on shots.  Lottie has jointed shoulders that have some nice movement. They move up and down and tilt out.  Lottie doesn’t have elbow joints or wrist joints.  I understand not having wrist joints, because that would bump up the age range, but elbows would be a nice addition.

Lottie’s hip joints allow her to widen her stance, as well as move up and down.  She stands really solidly, which is one of the things all Lottie’s have in common.  What about knee joints, you ask? Lottie has clickable knees.

Now that we’ve covered the body, let’s talk about Muddy Puddles clothing.  One thing I love about Lottie dolls, in general, are the number of separates they come dressed in.  Muddy Puddles is no exception with four different pieces, not counting her shoes.

Lottie wears a long-sleeved shirt with a rainbow graphic on the front.  Arklu very easily could have made this a short sleeve or no sleeve shirt, but they chose to make this long sleeves. Not all companies would do that. On top of the long sleeve shirt is an adorable yellow rain jacket, lined with white and blue striped fabric.

There is a hood and I’m happy to report it really fits her head.  Yes, it is a little strange looking trying to force all her hair into it, but I love that the hood isn’t fake, like many dolly hoods. Lottie wears blue corduroy shorts. Underneath, she wears blue and white striped tights. Her yellow rain boots are super cute.  The whole look from head to toe would catch any child’s eye.

Muddy Puddles is a super cute Lottie that embodies something we all loved to do as kids– play in the rain.  As an adult, I still have no problem with it!  For more information on where you can find Lottie, visit their website.  Stay up to date with Lottie on facebook, as well.  Other official pages include YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
