A Girl for All Time’s Crowdfunding Plan

Launched in 2012, A Girl for All Time has made quite the impact on the doll world. This doll line, which was created to promote a positive message about femininity in an intelligent way while encouraging creative play, has gained a passionate following over the past seven years. With two doll ranges under their umbrella and a number of outfits, A Girl for All Time has succeeded in creating and producing gorgeous, unique products that inspire play and help children connect with their past through the companies historical and modern line.

As we’ve seen with companies large and small, the current manufacturing practices aren’t making it easy on doll companies. We’ve seen some close their doors because of this, but not A Girl for All Time. They’ve decided to fight the changing market by changing with it! In 2019, A Girl for All Time is focusing their efforts on several crowdfunding projects, which will expand and refresh their current line. Some of these crowdfunding projects are for dolls you’ve seen in the past, including characters like Matilda and Lydia. Others are brand new dolls like Max: Your Modern Boy. Unlike past crowdfunding efforts, where dolls were funded through Kickstarter and Indiegogo, these campaigns are all being hosted in-house, meaning A Girl for All Time has more control over all the aspects of the campaign.

Currently, the company has a three tier system in place. Tier 1 is the campaign for funds, where you (the potential purchaser) pledge a certain amount of money for a ‘reward’, in this case the doll at a special campaign price. The more people who pledge in advance set the stage for the rest of production. If a project isn’t funded in the time allotted, all funds go back to those who pledged, leaving the doll/product unproduced. However, if a project hits its goal, the crowdfunding moves onto Tier 2 (pre-order price) and Tier 3 (full price). Read more about the upcoming crowdfunding campaigns on A Girl for All Time’s Crowdfunding FAQ page.

Crowdfunding begins May 19th, 2019 on their website. For up to date crowdfunding information, make sure to ‘like’ A Girl for All Time on Facebook and follow them on Instagram. In the meantime, let us know what you think of this new plan from A Girl for All Time in the comment area!

A Girl for All Time’s New Indiegogo Campaign

They’re at it again! A Girl for All Time started a new crowdfunding campaign this week to bring to life two brand new dolls. Already over 70% funded in only two days, I wouldn’t be surprised if the company reached their $20,000 goal within well within the month. Up for pre-order is new contemporary girl, Bex, who you learned about earlier here on the blog, and new historical girl, Elinor. Elinor, sixth in the historical doll line, was inspired by the Elizabethan era, 1558–1603. I’m no expert on British history, so through Google, I learned that the Elizabethan era was dubbed so in honor of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. A renaissance of sorts, the Elizabethan era saw the arts, like poetry, music and theater, grow and flourish.

Both dolls being introduced through this crowdfunding effort are 16″ tall and have nine points of articulation. They’re made of quality vinyl and wear high quality (and well designed) outfits. The dolls are priced a little lower than they will be later, when they eventually make their way to the A Girl for All Time website. So, if you’re looking to save a few bucks and help out this fantastic company at the same time, consider ordering through this crowdfunding campaign.

Will you be picking up Bex or Elinor (or both)? Share your thoughts in the comment area!

Introducing Your Modern Girl Bex (A Girl for All Time)

Last year, A Girl for All Time launched their Your Modern Girl series with a Kickstarter featuring dolls Maya and Nisha. Unlike their historical dolls, who all belong to the same family tree, Your Modern Girls are unique contemporary dolls that come from all walks of life. In this sneak peek reveal, I’d like to introduce you to Bex. With a release date of late 2017, Bex is English with an Afro Caribbean background.

Bex met her best friend, Maya, while rollerblading and they are both members of their local hockey team. She loves reading and writing poetry (in secret). One day, she hopes to start a band with all of her friends.

Bex has a new unique face mold. It looks like she has round features versus the long features that many of the other A Girl for All Time dolls have. Bex, also, has some pretty awesome hair. I love the curls! Her outfit is my favorite of the three girls in the Your Modern Girl line. Actually, of the three in the line, Bex might be my favorite doll so far.

Bex will be available to order later this year. Until then, keep an eye on A Girl for All Time via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And in the meantime, let me know what you think of Bex! Share your thoughts in the comment area.

A Girl For All Time Kickstarter UPDATE

I don’t usually post about crowd funding campaigns, but since I am a huge fan of A Girl for All Time, I want them to succeed with their Kickstarter!

A Girl for All Time’s Your Modern Girl project is nearly 60% funded, but time is running out to make Your Modern Girl’s Maya and Nisha a reality. If you haven’t made up your mind, you have three days left to help A Girl for All Time reach their goal of raising just over 28,000 US dollars.  To sweeten the deal, the company has added another great reward to the mix– Matilda at the record low price of (roughly) 60 US dollars (40 GBP).

If you’ve been looking for a Matilda, it is worthwhile to give a little– if the Kickstarter succeeds, you’ll be getting her at an amazing price. (Keep in mind that if the company doesn’t reach their goal, you will not be charged and get her at this price. Not to mention, it will take longer for the Your Modern Girl series to see the light of day! I may have to bump my pledge up to include Matilda. She’s been on my wish list for a while.) The Kickstarter ends Saturday, Apr 16 2016, 3:20 AM CDT, so if you are planning on helping them reach their goal, now is the time!

A Girl for All Time Kickstarter- Now Live

A Girl for All Time has just launched a Kickstarter for two new 16″ dolls– Maya and her friend, Nisha. Maya and Nisha fall under their new series, ‘Your Modern Girl’. This new range of dolls will add diversity to their collection, which currently features historical girls from the same family line. (Read my reviews of Lydia and Amelia, two of the historical girls.)

If you’re collecting the whole Marchmont family tree, you’ll want to get your hands on Maya. She’s part of the Marchmont family line and has had the family legacy passed on to her. She looks a lot like Matilda, which is a nice call back to A Girl for All Time’s origins. Nisha, the second doll in the Your Modern Girl series, is Maya’s best friend. She has a nice tan skin and a cute outfit. I personally love the shoes!

The Kickstarter campaign has just started, so head over to the site to check out the various pledge rewards. A Girl for All Time needs just over $28,000 US dollars to cover the production of this new doll line. So far, they’ve raised over $4,000, which seems like a great start!
