NYTF 2016: My Ballerina Dolls
My Ballerina Dolls made their debut at 2015’s New York Toy Fair. Since then, we’ve seen the release of the beautiful Clara Marie. (See my review here.)
This year, the start-up came back to Toy Fair. While they didn’t have many new items with them, they did have one that I really, really want. Alongside Clara Marie and the Prince, who is due out this holiday season, was a new doll- the Snow Queen.
The Snow Queen isn’t due out until 2017. I seriously cannot wait! The sculpt for the Snow Queen is so pretty! I love the serious, thoughtful expression she has.
Also in the works is a new jacket for Clara Marie. This is an early sample, so it may change. I think the blue looks really good on her.
If you recall, my only issue with Clara was that her wig was super thin and because of the styling, there were patches where you could see the wig cap. I asked them about that and it turns out they were as surprised as we all were. They’re working on a solution to that problem. (Though, in the meantime, it’s super easy just to buy a wig if it bothers you.)

For Sure! I will be preordering the Prince & keeping my eye on your blog for the reminder for the 2017 Snow Queen. I assume the Prince will be out this 2016 Thanksgiving? Thank you for the wonderful doll news.

I think it will be around Thanksgiving 2016 on the Prince. Then Snow Queen holiday of 2017.

Omgosh I can’t wait for the Prince doll! I love his face mold in this more recent picture. I’m glad that they’re working on the wigs, I still haven’t found the right wig for Clara. It did feel like they cut some corners with her, but I still love that doll, and she’s cheaper than an obitsu. The Snow Queen looks really amazing as well. I like her face and outfit more than Clara. Waiting until 2017 will be hard. The newer dolls look like they have better eyes as well, but I might get a second Snow Queen so I can somehow mod her with blue eyes and keep one with the brown eyes.

The prince is so handsome. I still think he looks like Howl (from Howls Moving Castle). I really hope this line continues to grow with kids and collectors, then we could get dolls faster. 🙂

Ooh, the Snow Queen looks gorgeous! I’m going to have to get her once she’s available. And of course I’m going to be getting the Prince, too!
Can’t say I like the look of that new coat for Clara Marie, but since she can wear SD 13/Dollfie Dream clothes, that’s okay; Etsy’s got plenty of clothes for her to choose from. 😀
